Revised: 11/2017

I paint miniatures and have competed every June in “Seaside Art Gallery’s International Miniature Art Show” in Nags Head, North Carolina since 2010.  It is a juried competition and art works arrive from all around the world. The Gallery receives over four hundred works of art each year. Miniature art is considered fine art, a specialty art, not a novelty art. A lot of skill and discipline is required to master this art form.  I also have competed in the Miniature Art Show in Florida, MASF,

Canvas, board and ivorine are the materials I use to paint on. The smoothest and most delicate surface is ivorine; it is a transparent, synthetic material and is a charm to work on.  It is available for purchase  in the United States.

Miniature Art is extremely popular in many regions, as in the United States and Europe.  Canadians are newer to this art form and are discovering it now. I sincerely hope that when one peruses my miniature art that their interest in this beautiful and exquisite art form will take hold!  People are amazed at how much subject matter and attention to detail an artist brings to life in Miniature Art!
